 By Mushi Michael

Environmental Gender and Human Rights Organization (Envirocare), has been honored to be among the representatives of Legal Sector Reform programme under coordination of Tanganyika Law Society to visit various prisons in Tanzania to observe Human Rights compliance.

Mr Mushi Michael (Environmental and Human Rights Legal Officer) form the task force and traveled around Tanzania prisons and observed the reality of our prisons.

Envirocare has seen the great need of doing more legal aid to prisoners and remandees in order to reduce congestion in remand homes and prisons and reduce the government burden of up keeping people who otherwise could engage in development of our nations.

More is expected in the task force report that is in process to come very soon.
